burnsjl Sad dream, but gave me some peace Apr 19, 2008 9:42 AM This is the background behind the dream: I have an ex-boyfriend who died last November. Although the relationship didn't last, we were friends before and afterwards, and I never really stopped loving him. When I found out he had died, I was distraught. I've had some guilt over not making more of an effort to keep in touch with him (it became too painful for me) and not knowing he was ill so I could say goodbye and tell him how much he meant to me. The other night, I dreamed that I went into a neighborhood bar to see him (he did have a drinking problem at one time, but I heard that he had been sober for several years when he died). In the dream, he looked ill. I think he knew he was getting ready to leave this world. He seemed kind of sad, like he was ready to go but didn't really want to. My husband was with me and his girlfriend was with him, but they both walked away so he and I could talk. I rubbed his back and touched his hair and asked if he remembered me. He looked up and I could tell that he did. I asked if it was OK with his girlfriend that I was there, and he said yes. I was having trouble expressing myself, so I ended up just putting my arms around him and laying my head against his chest. We stayed like that for a couple of minutes (until my darn dog woke me up!). Although I was a little frustrated by not being able to communicate with him in the dream (we were both very shy and had trouble communicating in real life), I ended up being happy that the dream ended with me just giving him a big hug and holding him. I think that spoke louder than words. Ever since then, I've been more at peace about him being gone, although I still think about him every day.
Det-Sweetie The Day I Lost My Husband Apr 18, 2008 6:46 PM It was two nights ago,and I had a dream that I was at my house but it wasn't my house.Well anyway we were watching t.v and the police came in and said they had a warrant for my husband arrest.I was so upset, then I asked them, well did he do and they said that he was selling drugs.(HE DOES NOT SELL DRUGS) I said that can't be true tell them it's not true and he just looked at me and started to cry.Isaid to him,how could you do this to me and your kids and he just looked at me then he put his head down. They were so ruff with him all I could do was call out to him and wonder how come he wasn't respond back. Then the officer said you can't come down to the station at all.All I could think of was whatwas I going to do with 3 kids and nowhere to go.I woke up and just looked at him to make it was just a dream then I hugged him so tight.I don't think I have ever been that frighten in all my life.To think that I would never see him again. It wasn't the fact that he was going to jail for a drug charge but that he was going to leave me all alone. Now that was weird.

almost famous Wishful Dreams Apr 6, 2008 10:00 PM Everyone has dreamed about something good happening to them or someone close to them. It's no doubt that these are called wishful dreams. Not to be mistaken for wishful thinking which has the same concept. Some people believe that these dreams have a great chance of happening. Some people dream about winning the lotto, women whom sadly can not have children, dream of pregnancy and the list goes on. My question to you ladies is, what was one of your wishful dreams about?
